Yes, you can mount the LF2 to the ceiling, but there are a few things to keep in mind:
- The LF2/2+ can be mounted upside down if used as intended for projection mapping purposes. Within Lightform Creator, there is a button to change the projector mode (front, rear, etc.) to invert the image accordingly. However, if you are planning to use the LF2 to act as a regular projector, or to watch movies, for instance, you will need to use your remote to access the projector settings. If your remote menu isn't coming up, make sure that your device is updated and on the latest firmware.
- We have deactivated the autofocus and the auto keystone capabilities as they interact with our scanning workflow.
- The LF2/2+ "feet" unscrew to reveal M4 mounting points (e.g., for a universal projector/ceiling mount), so any 3rd party ceiling/universal mount should work. We sold a mounting plate for the LF2/2+ that is specifically for this purpose.
Notice for LF2 and LF2+ users (only):
- A firmware update is required to correct potential fire risk and device damage. Please complete the update procedure to safely update your device to the latest firmware version (2.4.1), and do not otherwise use the device until you perform a firmware update. See more about this issue here.
