LF2/LF2+ Universal Remote Replacement Option
The remote that comes with the LF2/2+ is required to switch inputs and manually put your device into pairing mode.
If you lose your remote, a USB universal remote will work as well. We have tested this remote from amazon:
-
- Press the power button 1x to pull up the projection menu and a second time to turn the projector off completely.
- Press the back button to display the test card.
- Press the back button 3x to put the device into pairing mode.
- Press the up and down arrow buttons.
We do not sell replacement batteries, however, here is one on amazon, and here is another you can purchase online. You can also use your remote without a battery by plugging it into a charger port via mini-USB.
Please note:
Using this remote will not power the device on from a completely powered down state. There is a separate little processor that watches for a radio signal specific to the original remote to power on the system.
To turn the LF2/2+ on without a remote or pressing the power button manually, we recommend purchasing a small device called a switchbot. This device allows you to schedule the bot to press the on or off button at specific days or times, or by clicking a button in the switchbot app.
For instance, if you'd like the projector to turn on at 8:30am and turn off at 8:30pm, Monday-Friday, you can set up a schedule in the app. You can also use press mode to turn it on from your phone.
How to enter pairing mode without your remote
If you are already connected to a network:
- Go to the control page, and click Enter Pairing Mode
If you want to pair to another network that is within range of the current network:
- Plug into ethernet (make sure that you are using a supported network)
- Move the projector away from the wi-fi it’s currently connected to (or turn the wi-fi router off)
If you want to pair to a new network that is not within range of the last network:
- Plug into ethernet (make sure that you are using a supported network)
- Wait about 5 - 10 minutes for the device to enter pairing mode automatically. It will spend a few minutes looking for known networks. Once it sees that none are available, it will enter pairing mode.
