Deregister your device
The warranty is good for 1 year from the date the product was initially delivered regardless of who owns it, however, we do ask for a copy of the original order confirmation or that the person inquiring about the warranty cc the original owner to confirm the sale for security purposes.
If you plan to sell your device, please make sure to first remove it from your Lightform Account.
If you haven't already created a Lightform Account and registered your device, no action is necessary.
To remove the device from your account:
- Login to your account at cloud.lightform.com
- Click on your registered device
- On the next page, you'll have an option to remove the device from your account
- Once you've completed these steps, the new owner can register the device to their Lightform Account once they've created an account at https://www.cloud.lightform.com/signup.html
If you or the new owner of the device have any difficulty, please reach out to our support team via live chat or submit a request directly from the contact us page on this guide.
Before buying a used device from an independent reseller
We recommend the following practices for all of the Lightform Products:
- Confirm the device has previously been connected to the internet. We do not recommend purchasing a device that has never been turned on or used before.
- Confirm the device has been updated to the latest firmware (ask the current owner to confirm this by checking the control page while the device is connected, see details here). The internet is required in order to initially update the firmware.
- Confirm the device has been de-registered. The seller/current user can do this by following the steps above.
For an LF2/LF2+:
- Confirm the device turns on displays projection, and includes the original remote and power supply.
- The LF2 comes with a 19VDC 6.32A power supply and it requires a 120-240V AC input.
For the LFC:
- Confirm the device turns on and recognizes a projector via HDMI, and includes the original power supply.
- The LFC comes with a 12VDC 3A power supply and requires 120-240VAC input.
For the LF1:
- Confirm the device turns on and recognizes a projector via HDMI and includes the original power supply.
- The LF1 comes with a 12VDC 3A power supply and requires 120-240VAC input.
