Can I connect my Lightform device on a public wifi network? Like my work's guest network or at a cafe?

It depends. If the network security type is unsecured, WEP, or WPA/WPA2 Personal, you can pair your Lightform device to it. However, many public Wi-Fi networks, such as cafes, hotels, and airports, use Captive Portal (these require you to login through a web browser), which is not currently supported by Lightform Devices.

Networks with security types of 802.11x/WPA/WPA2 Enterprise are also currently unsupported by Lightform Devices.

Follow the instructions on this page to see if your IT team can whitelist the device.
